Just finished building this guy today. It was a weird building experience to say the least. One thing this has over the bandai version is the stability of the rifle. It pegs into the hand a lot more securely. Secure enough that the only weight issues I get with the combined beam rifle rocket bazooka come from the elbow. Well thats all for now. I'll probably do a proper update video soon.

HGAC (HGBF) Wing Gundam Zero Repulsor
Here it is, finally. My Wing Zero Repulsor. I'll explain about the model as we go. Just a heads up, this is a pretty picture heavy post.
OVERVIEW
I guess I'll talk about the color scheme first. I basically wanted a Proto RX-78-1 color scheme minus the green. Ended up adding the light gray as a color towards the end.
The back pack is a bit crowded with the swords and rifles attached. Doesn't really matter though, as the binders will pretty much only be to point back like that. Just not enough clearance between them and the shoulders.. sigh.
I'd say I'm 95% happy with the paint job. The 5% unhappy being the visible brushstrokes from hand painting.
WEAPONS
You have to lift the binders up to remove the Twin Buster Rifles. Not too big a deal me thinks.
TWIN BUSTER RIFLE
I left these pretty much 'stock'. Really all I did on these was some painting. I figured why fix what ain't broke.
And of course they can still combine.
TWIN BUSTER SWORD
The swords gave me some problems but in the end they came together pretty nicely. Since they're just thin pla plate and a handle they're very light too.
OVERVIEW (NO WEAPONS)
I have to say: I like the Repulsor a lot more without the weapons mounted.
DISPLAY
I made this thing as a build fighters custom so why wouldn't I get a GP Base for it? :P
I find myself having a lot more fun with the twin buster if its in its separate form. I just picture this MS duel wielding the busters as rifles instead of using them as a beam cannon. Also, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the Wing Zero's Twin Buster (and the Wing's Buster for that matter) could be fired at a lower output if the pilot wanted to.
I call these effect parts ZERO System Burst Mode. For those who don't know the ZERO (Zoning & Emotional Range Omitted) System is a technology for interfacing the brain of the pilot with the mobile suit's computer. Basically it uses that huge search eye/camera on the chest and gathers as much information as possible from the battlefield and forces it into the pilots mind.
In ZERO System Burst Mode, the binders emit a beam saber like wing. These wings change and improve the AMBAC (Active Mass Balance And Control) of the Repulsor. They also feed information about the Repulsor's immediate surroundings into the ZERO system.
The wings are a bit awkward. Mainly due to the backpack binders' lack of side to side movement. So they're always swept back. Either way, I still think it looks cool and I'm happy with them.
It can still do the classic Wing Zero pose.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot...
SWOARDSS
Favorite Shot:
Probably my only real complaint about this kit and I touched on it earlier. Things get crowded on the back real quick if you throw the weapons on there.
Quick comparison to a standard colored Wing Gundam Zero. No they're not in scale, the Robot Damashii Wing Zero is a bit bigger than it's HG counterpart.
Well that's all for my Wing Gundam Zero Repulsor. Thanks for checking it out.
Til next time...

New Stuff
I mentioned in a previous post I had gotten a few new Gunpla items. I wanted to wait until I had all of the 'haul' before I posted about it (damn snail mail from China).
First thing I got was TT Hongli's MG Sinanju Ver. Ka. This is my first knock off. I have Bandai's Sinanju Ver. Ka, but, I had gotten it right when I got back into Gunpla a few years ago. It has a lackluster spray can paint job and a mix-match of decals. I have a set of the Bandai waterslides for Sinanju. So I plan on basically doing a straight Ver. Ka build on this one.
I was actually really surprised at the plastic quality. One thing to note is that TT Hongli (Gao Gao)'s plastic has this odd semi-matte finish to it.
Next thing was the Robot Damashii (Robot Spirits) Wing Gundam Zero. I picked this guy up used for around $30. Being my first RD figure I really didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised however.
Oh yeah. Since this guy was used it did have one issue. Only one side skirt.
I used the leftover skirts from my HGAC Wing Zero. They fit onto the ball joint kinda ok. They are a bit loose and aren't quite as sharp looking as the RD skirts. But they will do.
Not sure if its just my figure or if it's a common theme with these. It has this weird tight looseness to it. Like if you but it in a pose it stays just fine, but when you're handling it it just flops around.
Next up is the HGUC Victory 2 Gundam. I had some money left in my PayPal so I nabbed this guy.
Good solid kit but nothing really spectacular. On that same note no real problems except... no wings of light. I see no reason why Bandai didn't include these and just bump up the price a few hundred yen. I think people would have no issue paying a bit more for it, especially since the wings of light are the signature thing of the V2.
So, with some help from my wife I made my own. Took a beam shield from a Seed MG (I think it was Destiny) and chopped it up to get two even-ish wings of light.
It's not perfect by any means but it's better than nothing and looks good enough imho.
Side note: If you look inside the wing binders on back there's even what appears to be peg holes and a slot where the wings of light should go. Seriously, what the hell Bandai.
Next up, a MG Zaku I Black Tri Stars I picked up used/built off of eBay. It was really cheap so I figured it could just bulk up my collection. Ugh, those nubmarks tho...
Last but not least, the Build Custom GP Base display stand. I grabbed this for my Build Fighters custom Wing Zero. Looks to be a decent little HG stand actually.
Well that's all the Gunpla stuff I've gotten in the past couple weeks. Probably be the last stuff I get for bit.
You can expect to see my completed Wing Zero post up tomorrow morning. I plan on taking pictures tonight and uploading/posting in the moring before work.
Til next time...
